
INGREDIENTS
8 chocolate hot cross buns
500ml ready made chilled custard
150g Lindt dark chocolate
500ml pure cream
1/4 cup icing sugar
Chocolate eggs for decorating
METHOD
Put custard and 100g Lindt chocolate in a saucepan.
Over low heat gently stir until chocolate has completely melted. Put aside to cool.
In a bowl combine cream and icing sugar. Mix with an electric hand mixer until soft peaks form.
Once custard is cooled, layer the bottom of a trifle dish with halved hot cross buns. Spread a layer of chocolate custard over the top. Add a layer of cream. Finely grate Lindt chocolate.
Repeat with another layer of each ( hot cross bun, chocolate custard, cream & grated chocolate).
Decorate with chopped hot cross buns and Easter eggs.
